As a content creator, I'm interested in ZeroNet, because it looks like a way to make author content available for tens and hundreds years.

There are no problems with tiny zites, but I have noticed zite has to fit within default site limit to survive. The default limit was set to 10MB and perhaps it was reasonable when ZeroNet started. But it's been about 9 years, there's a lot more storage space available, currently 10-25MB looks tight.

It might seem optional files feature will help. Indeed, the feature is helpful for many scenarious such as apps distribution and uploadable content. But using it for unique author content (when one is an integral part of zite) results to lose unique content.

Last commit in this repository was before like 15 months. It was said that the developer funding stopped so he stopped too.

https://github.com/zeronet-conservancy/zeronet-conservancy may still be alive, but with some issues.

I do not think that the 100MB is a good idea. Not everyone has capable internet to download 100MB without prompting. For some even 10 MB is significant. ZN prompts user for the increase (I am unsure if there is any rare case where it does not, if so, then a reproduction steps may be handy, but as said i doubt this repo is active).

It's important to implement the feature in all mainstream forks (currently, ZeroNetX and zeronet-conservancy). If next ZeroNetX will be released, this PR comes in handy.

It happens anyway, with optional files.
And it happens anyway with clearnet.

Yes, it prompts. And then can't find any nodes to download content beyond content.json usually (even having 10+ connected nodes). This is not technical issue, this is design issue. Sites exceeding mainstream default site size doesn't alive long-term.
